You’ll Love These 6 Fabulous Eureka Springs Shops

What’s better than a little retail therapy?  The Historic District is lined with many Eureka Springs shops perfect for a souvenir for yourself or a gift for someone you love.  The great thing about many of these Eureka Springs shops is that you are buying local.  You’ll find unique, one-of-a-kind pieces made by local and regional artists that you won’t find anywhere else.  There is something here in Eureka Springs for every taste and budget.

Start your shopping journey at Zark’s Fine Design Gallery located at 67 Spring Street.  This gallery offers everything from blown art glass and pottery to silver and gold jewelry.  Zark’s is a contemporary fine craft and art gallery featuring over 125 local and regional artists.  The gallery is open daily except Christmas Day from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Located just down the street at 37 Spring Street is Nelson’s: the largest retail store in Eureka Springs.  Product lines found at Nelson’s include Clark’s, B & S Trading, Chaco, Toms, Smartwool, Dorfman and The Art of J.A. Nelson.  There is something for everyone at Nelson’s from apparel to shoes, accessories and items for the home.  Nelson’s is open daily with varying hours depending on the season.

Mother and daughter team Blakely and Sylvia Wilson can be found painting daily at their working studio and gallery Wilson and Wilson Folk Art.  Located at 23 Spring Street in the Flatiron building, you’ll find one-of-a-kind American Art paintings.  Stop in and say hello and pick up an original piece of work for your home.

Candles make wonderful gifts and are relaxing and soothing to have around the home.  Stop by Spring Street Candle for not only artisan candles, but also potpourri, soaps, décor, and art.  This family owned business is located across from Basin Park Hotel and is open 7 days a week.

Another unique store to visit while shopping the area is The Jewel Box.  This gallery, which has been open since 1999, represents over 50 local, regional and national artists.  The shop specializes in handmade art jewelry, feather masks, batik paintings and more.  The Jewel Box is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

If you love to cook, find your way to 7 Center Street where you’ll enjoy shopping at Gourmet Eureka.  The store carries local, Northwest Arkansas and international gourmet products.  If you’re looking to buy local, you’ll find grains and mixes from War Eagle Mill and coffee from Fresh Beans Coffee Company.  Perfect stocking stuffers in the store include grilling sauces, oil and vinegar, cookies, teas and spices.  Gourmet Eureka is open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

After all that shopping, you’ll need a comforting place to put up your feet.  Spend the evening with us here at Arsenic and Old Lace on your next visit to Eureka Springs.  Our Queen Anne Victorian style mansion is home to 5 rooms each complete with private bathroom and seasonal fireplace.  Unwind in the whirlpool tub or simply enjoy a glass of wine on your private patio.  Each morning, join us for a gourmet breakfast sure to get your day started in the right direction.  Rooms book quickly this time of year so don’t wait to secure a reservation with us.  We look forward to your visit to the area soon.
